Free AI audit

Can AI search read your site?

Paste your homepage. We read up to 20 pages of your site the way AI crawlers do, with no JavaScript, check whether AI answers already cite you, and tell you what's stopping ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI Overviews from reading and citing you.

Free, no sign-up. Usually under a minute, and the report link is shareable.

What it checks

  1. 01

    Whether AI answers cite you

How often Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT cite your site, how often they name your brand, and example questions where you show up. Data from DataForSEO (US, English).

  2. 02

Whether AI crawlers can get in

Your robots.txt for 13 crawlers on every page we read, a test of what Googlebot, OAI-SearchBot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are actually served, noindex rules, and whether your CDN is in the way.

  3. 03

    Content AI can quote

Up to 20 pages read the way AI crawlers read them, with no JavaScript: whether the text is there, thin pages, headings phrased as questions, dates and image alt text.

  4. 04

    Structure and metadata

Unique titles and descriptions, one H1 per page, canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, and JSON-LD checked for the fields each type needs (Organization, Article, Product, FAQ and more).

  5. 05

    Trust signals

Organization markup with logo and sameAs links, named authors on articles, and About, Contact and Privacy pages: the facts AI tools use to decide whether you are a credible source.

  6. 06

    Technical health

http and www redirects, real 404s, broken pages linked from your own navigation, sitemap freshness and server response time.

  7. 07

    Your platform

WordPress SEO plugin, Shopify product data and the matching playbook. llms.txt we report but never count against you; there is little evidence anyone uses it yet.

What it can't tell you

This is an automated check of a sample of your site. It can't see how real bots are treated from their own IP addresses, run the questions your customers actually ask, or compare your content with the sites that get cited instead of you. The citation counts come from DataForSEO's sample of AI answers, so treat them as a comparison, not an exact total. And it doesn't give you a score out of 100, because a number would suggest more precision than an automated check has.

For the whole picture, that's what the AI Search Audit is for: we test how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews actually answer questions in your market, and hand you a prioritized fix list for your platform.
